Over its long history, the Masoni family has always been able to count on solidarity, both within the family itself, thanks to the support and collaboration of each member, and throughout its territory, owing to the harmonious relationship with the close-knit local community of the Val d'Elsa area. As the world's borders become increasingly open, one cannot abstain from making personal and entrepreneurial choices capable of enhancing the breadth of solidarity, thus involving distant people and activities. For this reason, Masoni has decided to introduce a line of baskets that promote fair trade products.

Fair trade products result from artisan work performed by small businesses, associations, cooperatives and groups of people of Southern World countries. Through this type of trading approach, they manage to obtain a fair price for the goods they introduce into the distribution network, and ensure dignified work conditions. The Masoni fair trade product baskets are prepared in collaboration with the MondoMangione Social Cooperative in Siena, which for years has promoted the values of fair trade across the Sienese territory.

Supporting fair trade means advocating grater economic equity without rhetoric, and contributing tangibly to the creation of a market based on the acknowledgement of the human, cultural and economic value of the exchanged goods, where each individual's dignity and right to a better life are fully ensured.
